Description

Desktop screenshot from Duck with Windows 10 running IE 11 while rendering the Amazon shopping cart for Delilah's latest parts acquisition. Once this order is fulfilled, the rebuild can begin. Combining the parts pictured above with the ABIT IP35E system board for the socket 775, this should be a fine workstation platform and a worthy upgrade to bring Delilah up to relatively modern specifications and software when compared to her XP days and ways.

Two LiteOn DVD ODDs along with the PCP&P 750watt Quad Blue PSU and Thermaltake Armor super tower will be used from the previous build, along with the internal USB media card reader and 1.44MB floppy combo drive. The original legacy four-drive IDE controller card and a USB/Firewire card will also be refitted to the new system board PCI slots. Initially, a standard 16X9 1080p LCD by LG will be used as the primary display.

The RAM and CPU are used items. The RAM is refurbished and like new. The CPU has been used some. It is interesting to note two things about this order. One, I aid too much for the CPU cooler, a classic item new and in the box, long out of production but perfect for the Xeon. Two, that Xeon cost 550 dollars new. It is the most powerful chip  within reason that can be put into a consumer grade socket 775 motherboard. Yes, there are faster Yorkfield Xeons out there, but they do not play as nice with everyday hardware.
