A park ranger hates to see a tree die. This one has stood on the property for over a century. It had weathered many storms, but this last one proved to be too much. Fortunately, damage to the house was relatively minor and had the tree fallen slightly to the left of where it landed, the roof would have been caved in and the utilities ripped out, possibly causing a fire. The residents were thankful they had been spared the wrath of Mother Nature.
