Solo Stops

The solo division of the 3/17 Mighty WurliTzer Theatre Pipe Organ installed at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, Tennessee. This controls the top manual on the organ and is used to accent the music with fiery reeds for single note solo passages. It also lets a player set up a second set of melody voices when bridging the top two keyboards with one hand. It is usually played with the right hand and is considered to be the trick manual. All the loud reeds are here as noted by all those red tablets.
