Ricardo on Rich Mountain Trail 01

Ranger Ricardo climbs up on some rocks to get a better view of the surrounding lay of the land near the Rich Mountain Trail in the Cades Cove area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park during a mid March of 2015 hike to the summit for a look at Campsite #5. Although winter was not officially over, springtime weather was prevailing with temps near 70F under clear blue skies. The flowers had not yet came out but the deciduous trees were budding.
