Here is another view of Mister Rodgers, looking down at the keydesk and stop jambs of the console. This is a very large organ, and it takes four strong men to move it about. The instrument is installed in the sactuary of the First United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Florida. It gets played often during two services every sunday and another on Wednesday evening.

He's a pretty one :) Rodgers make fantastic instruments. I've never handled an organ that big though :o

Do you have him playing pipes or speakers? Ours drives speakers (much cheaper) except for the en Chamades - speakers en chamade just aren't sexy.

One of the nicer features in my opinion though is the seamless integration with Roland voice expanders - we have a very small Rodgers Insignia instrument which we've supplemented with the JV-1010 to greatly enhance the repertoire we can perform. Those Orchestral Strings, used with the Insignia's Gambas sound divine :aww:

You would have a blast on Mister Rodgers. He is very friendly. I love this instrument.

This might be a stupid question but how many of the stops will one piston effect?
:cowboy::music:

Hi, Greg.

The only stupid question is the one that didn't get asked. To answer, a piston can control as many stops as are assigned to it. Usually, each manual and the pedals have a group of ten pistons each. Five of these are set by the factory and five are adjustable.

To adjust, or set, a piston, do this:

1. Hit the General Cancel piston. This turns everything on the organ off.

2. Draw the stops you want on the piston.

3. Hit the SET piston.

4. Hit the piston you want to set. Done!

Continue to do this until you have all the pistons set. The general rule of thumb is to set them up so that they get louder as you go to the right.

Pistons can either be set to control a single manual (divisional) or the entire organ (general). You can also store all your pistons in a Memory Level if the organ is so equipped. This way, you basicly have an unlimited nimber of combinations.
