Enjoying the woods of West Prong Trail

The Alcoa Ridge Runners have taken this hike twice as a round trip of 5.4 miles starting and ending at Tremont, once in November of 2013 and again in August of 2014. The first tour would be for studying the colors of Autumn. The second tour would be for studying the colors of late Summer. Images of the woods, canopy and trail would be taken. On the team were the three leaders, Red, Blue and Yellow. Ranger Ellen pauses to take in the beauty of the forest in this part of Tremont, near Townsend in Blount County, Tennessee.
