Building Spanky 36

Before Spanky could be placed in his new home, some beauty shots were in order out on the patio table. Final weight of the finished machine tipped the scales at about 35 lbs. Considering that the rig is a full blown workstation, this is very light, almost luggable. The work dolly the tower is resting on can support 200 lbs. Like Spanky's system spec, way overkill...

Note the two drive bays on the front panel near the top. The first one houses an LG M-Disc burner. This can place 128GB of data on a single disc. Below the burner is the Icy Dock Tough Armor 2 mobile drive hot swap cage for 2.5 inch drives. Inside this is installed an Intel 730 Series SSD on the bottom sled. A small cylinder key lock prevents unauthorized removal of the sleds.
