Autumn 2014 at Rock Garden 8

On the day before Thanksgiving 2014, the sky was blue and the wind was calm, though the air was nippy and dry. The night before this day, a cold front moved through Blount County. Warm balmy weather came to an end, as cooler Arctic air flowed south. A light rain had knocked almost all the leaves down. However, the nights are still to warm for the ground to freeze. In this image, we see two guardian trees of the west lawn at the House of Blue Flowers.
